Core application fields
Heat exchangers (condensers, evaporators, coolers): This is the largest application field for titanium tubes. They are used to handle highly corrosive media such as chloride ions (seawater cooling, salt water), wet chlorine gas, organic acids (acetic acid, formic acid), inorganic acids (nitric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, chromic acid), alkaline solutions, and various salt solutions, etc. Titanium tubes can withstand high temperatures and high pressures, and their lifespan far exceeds that of stainless steel and copper alloys.
Reactor and tower equipment: As heating/cooling tubes inside the reactor, distribution tubes inside the tower, reboiler tubes, etc., for handling highly corrosive reaction materials.
Piping system: For transporting highly corrosive fluids (such as brine in the chlor-alkali industry, wet chlorine gas, hypochlorous acid sodium, and acetic acid medium in PTA production).
Chlor-alkali industry: Key components such as the anode chamber of the electrolyzer, the wet chlorine gas cooler, and the desalinated water heater.
Electric power industry:
Power station condenser: Especially for coastal power stations and nuclear power plants, seawater or salt is used as the cooling medium. Titanium tubes are the preferred material for solving the problem of seawater corrosion, almost completely replacing copper alloy tubes. They have an extremely long service life (up to 30 years or more) and extremely high reliability.
Flue gas desulfurization system: Used for the spray pipes of the absorption tower, the water supply pipes for the demister, and other parts that come into contact with corrosive slurry (containing chloride ions, sulfate ions, and solid particles).water
High-pressure heater: Uses titanium tubes in some operating conditions.
Desalination of seawater:
Multi-stage flash evaporator: The key materials of the heating tube bundle and the condensing tube bundle must be able to withstand severe corrosion and erosion from seawater with high temperature, high salinity and high oxygen content.
